Good to know
Frequently asked questions
Everything about preparing, aftercare and booking. Still unsure? Send a WhatsApp, I would rather answer a question first than have you guess.
General
Where is the studio?
De Booijstraat 35, 2628ZN Delft. It is a private salon, so there is no walk-in, please book before you visit.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. I work by appointment only, with one client at a time, so nobody is ever sitting waiting and your treatment is never rushed.
Which languages do you speak?
Dutch and English, whichever you are most comfortable with.
Can I bring someone with me?
The studio is small and set up for one client, so please come alone unless we have agreed otherwise in advance.
Lash lift
What is the difference between the Korean and the Classic Lash Lift?
The Korean lift curls from the root in a soft C-shape, for a natural and full result. The classic lift bends the lash from the middle, for a straighter and more dramatic effect. The Korean or Classic Lash Lift page has the full comparison.
How long does a lash lift last?
Six to eight weeks, for both lifts. It grows out gradually, so you never get a harsh line.
Can I wear mascara afterwards?
Yes, after the first 24 hours, though most clients find they no longer need it. Avoid waterproof mascara and oil-based removers: they loosen the lift.
Will it damage my lashes?
Not when it is done properly and not repeated too often. The formula includes a conditioning keratin step, and I will not lift lashes that are not in good enough condition.
Brows & PMU
How long do powderbrows last?
One to three years, depending on your skin type, sun exposure and aftercare. A follow-up after 6 to 9 weeks is part of the process, and after that there are touch-ups at 12 and 24 months.
Does PMU hurt?
Most clients describe it as scratching rather than pain. I use a numbing cream before and during the treatment.
Why do my powderbrows look so dark at first?
That is completely normal. While healing, the colour lightens by up to 40% over 10 to 14 days. Judge the result only after the follow-up.
What is the difference between lamination, hybrid and henna brows?
Lamination lays the hairs brushed-up and fuller. Henna also colours the skin underneath and fills gaps that way. Hybrid combines henna with a classic tint, for the most depth. They can be combined.
Contra-indications
Can I have treatments while pregnant or breastfeeding?
I do not carry out lash lifts, brow lamination or PMU during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Facials can usually be adapted, just mention it when you book.
Do I need a patch test?
Yes, for henna and hybrid brows and for any kind of tinting, at least 24 hours before your first appointment. It takes five minutes.
When should I not book?
Please reschedule if you have an eye infection, a cold sore, active acne or damaged skin in the treatment area, or if you have recently had Botox, filler, a peel or laser in that area. Unsure? Send a WhatsApp before booking and we will check it together.
I take medication or have a skin condition. Can I still book?
Often yes, but it depends. Blood thinners, Roaccutane, poorly controlled diabetes and active eczema or psoriasis need discussing first. Send me a message and we will work it out together.
Booking & house rules
How do I book?
Through the online booking system, which sits behind every Book an appointment button on this site. You receive a confirmation by email straight away.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A deposit of 50% of the treatment price confirms your appointment and is deducted from the final amount.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 48 hours in advance. Within 48 hours, and for no-shows, the 50% deposit is forfeited.
What if I am running late?
Let me know as soon as you can. I will always try to still help you, but appointments run back to back, and if too much time is lost the treatment has to be rebooked and the cancellation policy applies.
How can I pay?
In the studio after your treatment, by card or cash. Gift cards can be redeemed against any treatment.
